1. Princess Diana & The Royals: The Exhibition ($27-$31)
Of course, if you haven't already, I recommend seeing our Diana Las Vegas exhibit. But don't just believe me - 90% of visitors have given us five stars, and in less than a year, we are ranked #10 out of over 500 things to do in Las Vegas on TripAdvisor.
The beautiful thing about this collection is that it is incredibly diverse. Being up close with historic and authentic artifacts from kings, queens, princes, and princesses, witnessing some of the most iconic styles of our time, and following an epic story of Diana's revolution of royalty - this exhibit has something for everyone.
Tickets are available as far in advance as February 2024!
2. Bellagio Fountains & Bellagio Conservatory (FREE!)
No visit to Las Vegas is complete without a stop to watch the mesmerizing show of the Bellagio fountains. Maybe it's the mystic or the famous scenes from 'Oceans 11' - I always enjoy the fountain show. It runs every 30 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes in the evening - show schedules vary by weekday vs weekends, so visit here for the updated schedule.
A bit lesser known, but equally as beautiful, is the Bellagio Conservatory. The 14,000-square-foot botanical gardens showcase unbelievable nature displays that change every season - spring, summer, fall, and winter. I always get a deep sense of calm walking through this wonderland. For a schedule of the displays showing, please visit this website here.
3. Walk and Explore the Wonder of Las Vegas (FREE!)
I love to get my daily steps in and admire the city's unbelievable architecture. So many impressive buildings and designs live in Las Vegas; taking them for granted is easy. The Roman theme of the Forum shops at Caesar's Palace; a trip to Venice in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian; the display of hundreds of artworks from emerging and established artists at the Cosmopolitan's art program; the expansive new footprint and design that is Resorts World; every stroll is a new adventure.
1. Cirque du Soleil and "O" (Starting at $79)
Cirque is a Vegas institution, and there is a show for everyone, from LOVE to Mad Apple to Ka. My favorite has always been "O." I first saw it ten years ago and see it again every few years. I won't spoil it for you - but the way the stage transforms into a high-diving experience is unbelievable. See here for show times and tickets.
2. Shin Lim: LIMITLESS (Starting at $50)
I enjoy something light while in Vegas - whether a comedy show or, in this case, magic. I recently checked out the Shin Lim show at the Mirage with my wife and father-in-law, and it was delightful throughout. I never get tired of seeing sleight of hand. It's not magic...but maybe it is. See here for show times and tickets.
3. Spiegelworld Absinthe (Starting at $129)
Full disclosure - I haven't seen this show (yet!), but it is top of my list for when I return this fall. I have heard non-stop that this is the best show in Vegas right now, hands down. And from the reviews and videos so far, I have to agree. It's a mix of acrobatics, audience participation, and raunchy comedy in an intimate setting - I can't wait. Tickets and show times are here.
1. Lavo at The Venetian
Italian dinners - forever and always! Amazing cocktails. One-pound meatball. Black truffle risotto. Yes, please! Lavo in The Venetian never disappoints. Dinner is 'classy Vegas' - or if you want something a bit more party-ish, the bottomless brunch is a clubbing-meets mid-morning affair. Book here on OpenTable.
2. Javier's at Aria
Home of the best Mexican in Las Vegas, Javier's in the Aria is both beautiful and delicious. Make sure to get one of their world-famous margaritas. But honestly, I recommend anything on the menu, as owner Javier, who grew up in Mexico, created each recipe. Did I mention they make their guac and salsa fresh two times daily? Get a table now.
3. THE Steak House at Circus Circus
Las Vegas is synonymous with world-famous steak houses, from the newest and hottest Carver's steak at Resorts World to Golden Steer, the oldest steakhouse in Vegas where the Rat Pack, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and mobsters dined.
But I have heard incredible things about THE Steak House at Circus Circus - yes, Circus Circus, you read that right. Admittedly this is another I have yet to try, but it won't be for long. Locals and top travelers alike say this is the most underrated steakhouse in Las Vegas. Give it a try, and let me know what you think!
1. High End - Aria or Wynn
I love staying at both of these properties. Equally beautiful and artful, the Aria Resort is chic, fun, and young, while the Wynn Las Vegas exudes modern luxury.
2. Mid-tier - Paris or Planet Hollywood
Both centrally located on the Strip, Paris Las Vegas, and Planet Hollywood offer clean and well-appointed rooms that keep the wallet intact.
3. 'Hidden Gem' - Vdara
Maybe it's not a true 'hidden gem,' but the Vdara is my go-to, especially for longer trips. Tucked behind its sister property the Aria, it has all the finishings of its big sister Aria but without the gambling, smoke, and fuss of a resort. And because many suites are privately owned, you can scoop up great deals on Airbnb or Expedia. Vdara is my top pick for when you want to stay on the Strip but want a retreat to an oasis away from the gambling and casinos.
These are some of my favorites and I hope they helped!
